The purpose of this blog is to find homes for over 20 stray dogs of Corfu, Greece. The dogs are in perfect health and have all been sterilized. They are just waiting to become a part of your family. To adopt any one of these pups, please email hannasplace@gmail.com.
Instructions for Donating Supplies
1. Go to http://artemispetfood.gr/order.php or just go to artemispetfood.gr and click on "dog food"-> "order." You may need to click on the British flag in the upper right hand corner to switch to English.
2. Order how ever much you want in which ever quantity you want using the online form. Artemis dog food will compile all of our donations, and once we reach 750 euro, they will send us a pallet of 50 20-kilo bags of food!
3. Simply enter your credit card information and then the following information in the "Contact/Shipping Information" part of the form.

5. Send an email to hannasplace@gmail.com to let us know you've made a donation. This way we can make sure Artemis compiles all of our donations correctly.
We will keep a record of how many donations we receive and announce on the blog when we have received enough donations for a pallet! Thank you!
Hanna's Story
Hanna arrived in Corfu, Greece a year and a half ago looking forward to devoting her life to animal welfare and in particular to the stray dogs that the island has become notorious for neglecting. Wide-eyed and eager to make a real difference, Hanna built from scratch a complete dog sanctuary with everything from a large fenced off forest for the dogs to explore to a doggy swimming pool. The shelter was to provide temporary shelter for dogs collected by the Ark, an animal welfare organization on the island. Before Hanna could even finish furnishing her own caravan, she found herself caring for over 10 new dogs. More dogs arrived every week, and it became necessary to build more fences and to make additional improvements to the shelter. Hanna worked day and night feeding, cleaning up after, grooming, and providing medical care to the dogs who at one time had no hope of even surviving, much less having their own swimming pool to splash around in! When she wasn't caring for the dogs, she was gathering supplies and seeking donations to help pay for them. Having no time to search for new homes for the dogs, Hanna now provides safe lodging for over 50 dogs.
Hanna has suffered an injury to her neck which makes it impossible to care for the dogs on her own, since the job involves lifting kilos upon kilos of dog food and waste. To make matters worse, she has exhausted all of her financial resources and has destroyed her credit buying dog food, dog houses, fences, rain shelters, gravel, vaccines, and countless other supplies. For this reason, Hanna can no longer maintain the shelter and is planning to leave Corfu to seek work sometime this spring. She has no other choice but to leave some of the dogs behind. This blog is dedicated to making sure that the dogs living at Hanna's place find loving new homes!
